PHANSI goes “phezulu” in order to reach out to whoever may look at or listen to its STORIES and spread its MESSAGE.
At ROBERTS HOUSE the things on the floors, the walls, ceilings, under the trees and the sky have their own stories to tell and opinions to share. Told with skill, care, love and imagination they are art in its purest sense.
We are all artists.
It is our hope that when these are shared with you, you may gain the courage to have and tell your own opinions and stories.
PROJECTS & PARTNERSHIPS
We have fantastic knowledgeable and spirited guides at the gallery and in the field. We have spectacular exhibitions, events, educational facilities and amazing collections. We have common projects and partnerships with other institutions.
To help us reach the greatest number of people out there we have signed Memorandums of Understanding with the following institutions:
We invite schools from far and wide, rich and poor to come to be with us, to explore our collections, and grow to love the art shaped and born within our communities. To feel good about themselves and where they come from.
We do the same for the older members of societies, tertiary institutions, associations and many adults who doubt their own culture and of course, visitors from other countries always leave with a very different impression of our part of the world when they have been here.
The Bat Calendar (now 22 years old).
Our famous poster calendars grace many a wall in homes, classrooms, libraries and Graphic design studios.
We continue to produce the famous Bat calendar for the lovers of community art and distribute it widely.
Exhibitions, events, talks and seminars.
Phansi has a small traveling exhibition and is always ready to share some of its artworks. We encourage the use of our venues by outsiders who love the same things we do.
