PHANSI goes “phezulu” in order to reach out to whoever may look at or listen to its STORIES and spread its MESSAGE of ubuntuArt.
At ROBERTS HOUSE the things on the floors, the walls, ceilings, under the trees and the sky have their own stories and opinions to share. Told with skill, care, love and imagination they are ubuntuArt in its purest sense.
We are all artists.
It is our hope that when these are shared with you, you may gain the courage to have and share your own opinions and stories.
PROJECTS & PARTNERSHIPS
We have fantastic knowledgeable and spirited guides at the gallery and in the field. We have spectacular exhibitions, events, educational facilities and an amazing seedbank of art. We have common projects and partnerships with other institutions.
To help us reach the greatest number of people out there we have signed Memorandums of Understanding with the following institutions:
– Amazwi Voices For Women Museum
– Durban University of Technology. (DUT)
– Luthuli Museum
– Mazisi Kunene Museum
We invite schools from far and wide, rich and poor to come and be with us, to explore our collections, and grow to love the art shaped and born within our communities. To feel good about themselves and where they come from.
